IPF Season 1 is structured as a football journey, not a pay-to-enter team place. Individual applications are free, assessment is merit-based and selected players progress into the team-building process.
Around 200 players will be selected for 10 squads of 20, supported by a reserve pool of up to 30 players. Selected players then enter the IPF player auction before teams begin their preparation.
From assessment to the final
The competition journey follows eight connected stages.
- Application
- Assessment
- Selection
- Player auction
- 10 teams
- Single round-robin league
- Top four semifinals
- Final
Every league match matters
Each team plays the other nine teams once. A win earns three points and a draw earns one. The top four advance, with first playing fourth and second playing third in the semifinals. The two winners meet in the final.
The complete core format, eligibility, tie-break rules, discipline and player provisions are published in the Season 1 Core Competition Rules. Operational details may be clarified before kickoff without changing the core competition structure.
